So I'm not saying that the Yankees owe the win of the world series to Geoff and I but isn't it a strange coincidence that every time we move to a new location, the home team ends up winning the world series?
2002 - we move to Orange County. The Angels win the World Series.
2005 - we move to Chicago. The White Sox win the World Series, first time since 1917.
2009 - we move to New York. The Yankees win the World Series.
Coincidence?

Oliver's Twist

So you may remember me mentioning our visitor Oliver. I had believed Oliver is a country mouse who is trying to make his way in the big city and is doing so by living in our 5th story upper east side apartment. I have since changed my opinion that Oliver is no country bumkin and is just a straight up city mouse and here is why...being peaceful loving people we put out no kill traps with peanut butter. To which Oliver gratefully ate the peanut butter and went on his way. Deciding maybe Buddhists are wrong we got the good old fashion snap traps as we figured ok well quick death is better than the slow agonizing one of a glue trap. Set the trap up, put the peanut butter and we wait. Oliver again lavished up our fine peanut butter and went about his business. Geoff upset that I had named him Oliver in the first place reset the traps and jammed the peanut butter in there so as to lure Ollie to his death. Instead Oliver ate the pb from trap one unscathed but on trap two he got caught. Not killed, but caught. To which Geoff's Buddhist side overcame him seeing Ollie in pain released him from the trap and let him free...well free in our apartment. So Ollie is now part of our life. I am trying to figure out how to capture him to either A. keep him as a pet, or B. bring him to New Jersey to set him free in the country.
